In case that "PC SHOOT FIXED" is selected in the "USB MODE" and the camera is not connected to a PC via a USB cable, you cannot turn off the camera when you turn the ON/OFF switch to the OFF position or remove the lens from the camera because the camera stays in the waiting mode for image transfer. When "PC SHOOT FIXED" is selected, the warning of "IMAGES ARE NOT SAVED IN THE CARD" appears Improvement of camera function stability when used with shooting software like the Tethered Shooting Software HS-V5. Improvement of the display for the "USB MODE" in the SET-UP menu The phenomenon is fixed that Wi-Fi communication with "FUJIFILM PC AutoSave" stops at the moment the LCD turns off Improvement of the Wi-Fi function when "FUJIFILM PC AutoSave" is used. If "S (Shutter-Priority)" or "M (Manual Exposure)" mode is selected, set the shutter speed to 1/180 sec. An external non-TTL flash will fire when the "MECHANICAL+ELECTRONIC" is selected in the "SHUTTER TYPE" option of the SHOOTING MENU. Improvement of the flash function when "MECHANICAL+ELECTRONIC" is selected. But otherwise, no big deal alternate methods of getting the images onto my Mac are just as good or better.Firmware update Ver. Beause it takes a fair bit of time to get the camera precisely positioned at the right height and parallel to the lightbox - WiFi is preferred to removing the SD card. There is one situation - camera is mounted on tripod, being used as a "scanner" to photograph negatives on a lightbox. unless I start noticcing other settings go missing during a battery change, I am not going to worry about that. We discussed the capacitor which powers the circuits which save the settings during a battery change - but in my case, the settings go away after a certain amount of time, even if the battery has not been removed, so. He seemed to think it's a hardware problem rather than software ("the board" - $140 labor), but he was speculating. Just got off the phone with Fuji, Edison - no help really. If I was willing to go through the setup process again, I could probably get it to work, but what's the point if the settings don't stick? Whether I press the WiFi Fn button or go to the Wireless Menu from Playback, the result should be exactly the same, right? In other words, if the WiFi button doesn't do anything, it's unlikely the Menu Method will work, either, right? This error is reproducible and curious, but will likely remain a mystery. Please take my word that "every" is a carefully chosen word. I have tried every possible solution to "fix" this anomaly (despite not really needing the functionality). Two of the camera bodies can remember all Autosave settings for all computers, but the third consistently dumps the settings after shutting down and later re-starting, and in fact shows "ghost" connection settings from computers no longer on the network. I can connect any camera with any of 4 networked computers, but I prefer to download directly from the card and move work into Lightroom. It's not really practical in my view but the function exists so I set it up for testing. I have three identical X-T1 cameras and have used Autosave successfully with all three. I don't use the WiFi function button but instead select "Wireless" from the playback menus the effect is the same. I suspect your situation is similar to what I have observed with the X-T1 and PC Autosave. Tech details: X-T1 has firmware v.5.51, Fuji PC Autosave v.1.1.0.1 running on Mac OS Sierra (10.12.6). Is anyone successfully using Fuji's PC Autosave App to download photos from two different Fujis? Are any additional steps required to start the process other than just pushing the WiFi button while in Playback mode? Does anyone else have a problem with their X-T1 forgetting the setting for PC Autosave? Just after setting up the camera for the third time, I tried pushing the WiFi button, and the expected WiFi screens appeared. Once again, going through the setup process made it work - but there is no way it should be necessary to repeat the setup process every time. So after going through the setup process a second time, then PC Autosave was able to download from the X-T1.īut today, same problem - WiFi Fn button does nothing. On the X-E2, pusing the WiFi button immediately connects the camera to the network with screen prompts for PC Autosave. Problem: While in Playback mode, I push the WiFi function button on the X-T1, and nothing happens. I got it to work once, but next time I tried to use it, it would not work. It was very frustrating to get it set up, but once I got it working, I really like it!Ī couple of days ago I got a new (to me) X-t1, so I set that up for PS Autosave as well. A few weeks ago I set up PC Autosave for my X-E2.
